Opening Day

This morning was Travis' Opening Day for baseball. Here he is in his new uniform. His team name is the Durham Bulls. This morning they had their team pictures and then a parade introducing all of the teams and their coaches. His first game is this afternoon at 2:30pm. Travis is really excited to play baseball this season. This is his first year playing baseball.

Student of the Month

Ashley was the Student of the Month yesterday. She got a certificate, a Carl's Jr. coupon, and this shirt. The school is the Swainston Thunderbirds. The back of the shirt has their motto, "The higher your soar, the better the view". Ashley was pretty excited for the award and of course the pizza party. We sure are proud of her hard work. Keep it up Ashley.

Good Citizen

O.K. I know this is a lousy picture but it is the best of the lot. I don't know why they all came out so dark and I thought I had zoomed in closer. Maybe it is time to look for a new camera. Anyway, Courtney was the Good Citizen of the Month in her class. She was pretty excited. Especially for the pizza lunch that followed the assembly. Congratulations Courtney! You are such a sweet heart.

Easter Time

It is hard to believe that Easter has already come and gone. I know that it is really early this year but I am still feeling like it should be the beginning of February. I can't believe it is almost April.

The Easter Bunny left baskets of goodies for Ashley and Travis and hid some candy filled eggs for Jared and Courtney. After Saturday's egg hunt, where Jared was a little timid, he definately had the right idea at home, and found plenty of eggs. The hunting went by so fast, before I knew it, it was over. I didn't get very many pictures, but at least I got a couple. Jared gets so excited for the different holidays. He starts counting down a few weeks before hand and lets us know how many more days until the big day. They all had a great time and love all the candy left for them.

Ward Easter Breakfast and Egg Hunt

This morning was our wards' Easter breakfast. Travis had a baseball practice from 8:00 - 9:15 at the same park. The breakfast started at 9:00, so Randy walked over at 9:10 to get Travis. They kept extending his practice until finally at 9:40 they said they were going to practice until 10:00. Randy came back and ate and then went back to get Travis. He was gone right during the egg hunt. I felt bad he missed out on most of the activity. Courtney and Jared had fun finding the eggs though. Any activity that involves getting candy is a huge hit in our house. It was a gorgeous day, so all in all it was a fun morning.

CRT Poster

Ashley and a couple of friends made a poster for the CRT test at her school. They won 3rd place for their poster. She was pretty excited. Hopefully she did as well on her test.
