Jared's Birthday

O.K. I know I am extremely late in posting this, but better late than never. At least I am still in the same month. I have been trying to not waste so much time on the computer lately so I could be more productive. I don't see my productivity increasing a whole lot, so I don't know what I am doing with my time. Anyway, here is Jared's birthday.

Jared turned 6 years old on February 13th. He was soo excited. Ever since Christmas he started counting down to Courtney's birthday, knowing that his was right behind. He was really excited because at school they were having their Valentine's Day party, so he got to celebrate all day. I think it took him 6 tries at getting all his candles out. One breath per candle.
This is where Jared is a unique little boy. The next two pictures are the two things he wanted more than anything. Jared loves to clean and work around the house and outside. We saw this dustpan and broom at Target and for 3 weeks that is all he talked about getting for his birthday. He is such a great helper. After the celebrations were over, he had to try out the broom and dustpan and swept pretty much the whole kitchen floor. What a great kid!
Jared also wanted his own cleaning towels. He always used ours, and when we went to clean they were usually all dirty. We had tried to give him a couple to use but it just wasn't enough for the amount of cleaning he wanted to do. So when we asked him what he would want for hi s birthday, he said he wanted 7 cleaning rags of his own. He was so excited when he got 12. He has been cleaning up a storm. Jared, we love you. Thanks for all you do.

It's always fun when Grandpa/Grandma comes!

If anyone wonders why it rained so much this last weekend it was because Randy's parents came down for the weekend to visit. It is amazing how wonderful our weather was until we have company come from out of town. I can't remember ever having a rainy day like Saturday. We even lost power for an hour or so. Instead of getting to go out golfing or enjoying the sunshine, we all stayed in the house. Normally I love the rain but when we have company it is nice to be able to go out more. Oh well, we still had a great time visiting and enjoying having them here. We always wonder though why our kids act so different when company is around. They become complete different children. While we were in the house on Saturday, I helped them set up a blog page, so hopefully they will update it regularly so we can keep up on what they are doing. We loved having you here! Thanks for all the work you did. I really appreciated it!
