Ashley's 13th Birthday

I can't believe that Ashley is a teenager. Where did the time go? It just seems like she was turning five. Ashley was so excited for her birthday. She tries not to appear too excited, but she can hardly contain herself. Ashley is such a joy to have around. She loves to help out and wants to make us happy. At this point in her life she LOVES music. She always has her ipod with her and asking for more music to be put on it. Ashley is loving young womens. She has memorized the theme and the 6 B's, which she loves to recite to everyone. She enjoys school very much. She is sad when the weekend comes because she will miss her teachers and friends. Her favorite class is history and comes home each day to let us know what she learned. We are very proud of her and love her very much.

Another Birthday

Randy's birthday was actually on Friday, but we were driving to Salt Lake. We celebrated on Saturday after the marathon. His parents came down to his sisters and we had a BBQ and Marie Calendar pies. It was great to celebrate with his family. Happy birthday, Randy.

Marathon Man

Saturday morning Randy ran the Salt Lake Marathon. We drove up on Friday and stayed at his sisters house. His niece ran in the 5K, so his sister, brother-in-law and other niece took them down to the race. My sister came down and drove with me and the kids to go and watch Randy finish the race. It was fun to watch all the runners but it was very windy. This is most of us sitting at the finish line.
Here is Randy finishing the marathon. He looked great! Right when he came into view, this lady came and stood right in front of me, so this is the best picture I got. Randy's finishing time was 4 hours and 23 minutes. He was 616th out of 1243.

Here is Randy and his niece after the race was over. They both had an enjoyable time. They were both glad that they ran and I wouldn't be surprised if they do it again. GREAT JOB!!!
